Rise and Shine

Well I haven't been able to do any letterboxing lately due to my eye problem. For those of you who haven't heard I recently found out I had a detached retina and have since undergone 3 surgeries. If you want more detail about my ordeal you can read about it on my journal of random things . . . blog under Detached Retina. Luckily, I have good friends and that has helped me. I literally am under doctor's orders to do absolutely nothing. I have been extremely bored but I am following the doctor's orders to the letter. If I don't, my option is blindness in that eye. On Friday, June 27 the doctor released me from the face down position and I can now spend short periods of time on the computer - WOOHOO!

On Monday, June 23 Astro D came by for a visit - it was a blessing - it broke up the monotony and I had a great time. Then on Tuesday, June 24 Astro D and rubberpeace came by and brought me lunch. Another blessing. On Monday Astro D left me with a note that led me to believe that she would be planting a letterbox for me on my property. Then on Tuesday she left me a clue and told me there was a letterbox. I don't know if it is the eye problem, the meds or just being out of it but I had trouble with the clue. So I contacted her and she gave me a couple more hints. From those hints I finally figured it out and knew where she had hidden the box. Unfortunately I couldn't get it due to my restrictions so I had to send Thomas out to find it. So we found Rise & Shine! letterbox. It was another incredible Astro D creation. And thanks Astro D for the letterbox to brighten up my recovery.

Brilliant Astro D for getting Lions Mane out of the boredom for just a little while.

Oh to have one of of your amazing letterboxes placed in my own backyard!
Enjoy, Mark!

And get well quick, too!

Hey Lionsmane-

Good luck with your recovery! I'm sure you'll be as good as new soon. How nice to have a friend plant a special box just for you. That sounds like fun.

Get well soon!
